Have you ever been told to “wrap your leg around the horse?”

As though staying on requires literally getting your leg around the horse, and hanging on.

This is another piece of riding advice that can actually make us more tense and unstable.

Here’s why… if we wrap our leg, we tighten our hips and rotate our ankles, and those are two parts of our body we want fluid, unrestricted movement!

So what to do instead?

Depends on you and your horse’s body types!

*In the 30 Day Better Riding Quest, I also include a follow along, at home exercise video to answer your questions and help you practice the feeling of this before your next ride.
