I still remember the day where my student walked in the barn for her riding lesson and declared that I should start a horse “blog”.
Truth be told, I didn’t know what a blog was at that time, but her excitement for the idea was contagious and I had been looking for ways to give more value to my local riding students between their lessons.
I went home that day, typed into google “what is a blog?” and CRK Training Blog was born.
Fast forward 8 years, 382 weekly videos, and 13.9 million video views later… CRK Training was a global community of riders. and we are still growing… hit play below
While I’ve been the face in the videos, this has never really been about me. I have been honored to have had the opportunity to study with amazing teachers and they have shaped the techniques I use working with horses and students.
With Angelo, I learned how to set up training exercises to trigger the right behavior from the horse so there was never pulling or kicking or fighting to try and create a movement.
With Wendy, I learned how barking instructions at a riding student is simply ineffective, but by showing them a simple movement that creates the feeling of a balanced seat or a stable lower leg, they can remember it forever.
With Patrick, I discovered the ease that helping a horse find balance in their body creates calm in their mind.
With Andrea, I learned how a simple pause can change the attunement between horse and rider.
With Heidi, I learned movements from yoga that transfer right into the saddle to change leaning forward or gripping too tightly.
And with Jenna, our membership community is always reminded to have fun – every step of the way!
Our instructors and our community are really what CRK Training is about, and as our community has grown, we have grown. We are now HorseClass – here to be the best we can for our horses, and of course.. enjoy the ride! 😊 I’m thrilled to have you here

Hi Callie – i’m excited to see more of your new Horse class program. I would love to bring my horse to your farm one day for training. I previously completed your balanced writing class and loved it. My horse Chester still needs some work as my riding skills get better.
