This Workshop is brought to you by Andrea Wady and the WISE Riders Club, a group of riders 50-80+ who come together to support one another and learn from the best professionals in the horse industry. (Who aren’t getting any younger either.)
We ask these professionals the poignant questions no one else is asking.
We study training techniques, riding advice, all things horses, but with the wisdom that our lens of age provides.
A core framework that we use is the WISE Formula, developed by Andrea.
This workshop is about the most common challenges of “older riders” and how to use the WISE Formula to move through these.
You will hear from professionals in physical therapy, mindset, and get behavior and training coaching from Andrea – an international clinician and accomplished liberty trainer.
You will also learn from the stories and experiences of other riders, who perhaps are facing some of the same challenges that you do.
Nope! The first two videos we have already recorded for you and they will be released on May 21 and May 23.
As soon as we make the videos available on those dates you can watch them at any time.
The third video will be live, so you can join us “in person”. This is going to be on May 29th at 12pm EDT.
No worries, we will be recording this one too. If May 29 is not a convenient time for you, you can watch the recording after.
The WISE Riders Formula was developed by Andrea Wady as a necessity to navigate the changes she was feeling in her body and mind. She needed to reinvent herself as a rider and a professional.
The WISE Formula is a method of working through any riding challenge, struggle with your horse, feeling of fear, or “should I be doing this”?
We have in depth training on The Formula on this page, and Andrea will also be teaching The Formula through this workshop too.
Andrea is the Founder of WISE Riders Club.
A Behavior Specialist, Liberty Trainer, and International Clinician.
The WISE Riders Formula and WISE Riders Club were born out of Andrea’s need for change.
“You can’t stop the march of time. With that natural passing comes change. The inevitable creeping of age. I felt my enthusiasm wane as tiredness set in. The goals I set for myself seemed insurmountable.
As I grew older and didn’t want to get hurt, I felt less inclined to climb on the back of young, or unpredictable horses. I began to feel a shift and I wasn’t sure I liked it.
I didn’t want to surrender, but knew I had to find a way to reframe how I would approach the later chapters of my life with horses.
This led me to create a formula for myself. I called it the WISE Riders Formula. My joy returned, my energy came back as I aligned with what I truly wanted in this stage of life, not what others expected of me.
I began sharing what was happening for me with my students, and now, I want to share it with you too.”

If you spend time with horses, are in a later stage of life, and want to improve your horsemanship, you are in the right place!
It does not matter if you have a horse.
It does not matter what discipline you ride.
Or if you ride at all!
We have members in the WISE Riders Club who are just starting out with horses, fulfilling a lifelong dream. We have others who are professionals and are re-inventing their future as riders.
Some of us don’t ride at all, we drive, we practice liberty, or we simply enjoy being with our horses.
We come from all disciplines and from countries and cultures around the world.
What unites us is our love of horses and our desire to bring the wisdom of age and life experience to all we do.
If this resonates with you, we are going to get along great! Welcome to the Workshop!
From May 29 through June 5, membership in the WISE Riders Club will be open.
Through this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Club and see if it is a good fit for you.
We will send you all the details about what is included in the Club when we open on May 29.
